Forbes Asia's fourth annual Best Under A Billion list focuses on Asia-Pacific companies with under $1 billion in sales. The winners were culled from 24,155 publicly listed organizations. eClerx is one of only 22 Indian companies that made the cut, and the only one in the KPO / data analytics arena. The list includes companies many times our size and many that are much older than us.

The companies were judged on a number of performance criteria including growth in sales and profitability over three years. Despite diminished returns, companies on this year’s list negotiated the pitfalls of early 2008 to increases sales and profits, and share performance of list members beat the benchmark FTSE SC Asia Pacific.
